Lovely bowl in the Pomegranate design by William Moorcroft with twin tudric pewter handles and banding.

It has an impressed Moorcroft backstamp and signed by William Moorcroft on the base as shown

No chips or cracks although we suspect a slight restoration has been done to the inner base rim (see pictures) which cannot be seen when displayed.

Moorcroft pottery is completely hand-made and hand-painted in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England and as such no two pieces are ever exactly the same. They have very high quality standards and grade all their pieces into First/Best quality and Graded/Seconds. Those of Graded/Seconds are still of a high quality but will have some minor (often almost undetectable) flaw such as a small piece of tube-lining missing or a bubble in the glaze. Please note we do not attempt to describe any blemish that happened during the production process – we only comment on those that have occurred since production. We publish several images of the actual item listed so you can satisfy yourselves of the quality before purchasing.
